Creativity and design coaching is a human-centered experience. As a coach, I’m able to bring my design and strategic thinking skills together with coaching tools to aid clients in designing their lives.
As a client, things we might work on together are
Building habits and structure to support your creativity
Cultivating creative confidence
Evaluating and defining big goals for career, hobbies, or something else
Managing transition phases of life
It’s also possible to work together in a way that brings my design expertise to you by providing a constructive critique of your design related creative projects. We’d evaluate together how I can support you in that way in addition to coaching.

Qualifications
Shasta Garcia holds a BA in Communication Design with an emphasis on Graphic Design. Her continued training includes certifications in User Experience Design and Life Coaching.
Her career spans 20+ years working in creative fields including graphic design, human centered experience design, service design, and design strategy. In parallel, she’s nurtured her creative practices and consistently sold and shared creative projects.
Over the years she’s been an active member and volunteer in the design community. Some highlights include serving on the board of AIGA SF, bringing together recent grads and design professionals at numerous portfolio reviews, and aiding in bringing to fruition many events like conferences on sustainability design and speculative futures.
As of 2025, she runs Play Ethic Studio, supporting creatives and the creatively curious with coaching, consulting, workshops, and tools. All offerings support the foundational belief that taking care of our creativity is taking care of ourselves.
