Tree Twins shenanigans
Have you encountered the Tree Twins? Jingle and Tingle were sent by Santa to spread cheer from Thanksgiving through to Christmas Eve. They romp around the streets of San Francisco (and sometimes other cities like NY and Paris) spreading joyful smiles across the faces of anyone they encounter.
I connected with them a few years ago and have been collaborating some evenings on festive silliness. I’ve put together a holiday “cheer” outfit to assist passersby in getting in on the merriment and helping them grab a snap with the Trees for their holiday memories.
It’s a joy watching others react to encountering the Tree Twins. Sometimes it’s serendipitously for the first time and sometimes they’ve sought them out as part of their holiday traditions.
Going out into the evening makes me feel connected to San Francisco. Each evening the twins announce what neighborhood they’ll visit. It’s a great way to see the cheer other people are creating with festive outfits and trimmings hung on houses and local businesses.
I’m grateful for this playfulness that’s become part of my holiday tradition. Visit @TreeTwins on Instagram to find the next neighborhood they’re visiting along with pics of all the shenanigans. Creativity on the Horizon
